Mistroostig en gevoelig, om vervolgens alle registers open te gooien vol agressie en boosheid. Groza weet als geen ander al die emoties samen te smelten in hun muziek. De post-blackmetal band uit het zuiden van Duitsland werd in het begin van hun carrière veelvuldig vergeleken met Uada en Mgla, maar inmiddels heeft Groza een eigen gezicht. Althans, dan moet je wel de kappen die de heren dragen wegdenken. Want ook op het podium biedt Groza volop sfeer.

Het debuut Unified In Void dateert uit 2018, maar het was The Redemptive End uit 2021 waarmee de band écht indruk wist te maken. Dat succes trok Groza door naar hun derde plaat Nadir. Zware Metalen beoordeelde die plaat met 90/100 punten! Blastbeats, akoestische passages, screams en heel veel melodie: Groza brengt die elementen knap samen. Het maakt dat de carrière van de band zich in een snel stijgende lijn omhoog bevindt. Al die hoogtepunten brengt Groza mee naar Apeldoorn. Groza is niet alleen op plaat een verademing, ook live maakt de band ontzettend veel indruk. Wie de heren in december 2025 aan het werk zag tijdens de Eindhoven Metal Meeting weet het: van Groza krijg je nooit genoeg.
